Most states only charge registration fee on vehicles. Florida and New York do not charge a property tax, just fees.
Connecticut does, at the property mill rate for the town in which the vehicle is registered, but with some rate cap so places with worthless properties and high mill rates are less insane, but you're still paying >$1000/yr tax to dare have a reasonably nice car.
