In TX, 2nd amendment is live and well. Citizens are able to defend themselves. Portland, if the criminals come into your house, you better climb out of a window or slip thru your back door. Otherwise, if you fight back, you could be going to jail.

My family actually live in Portland. I have a niece's friend who is actively working in downtown Portland helping the homeless.
