Ok, I'm oldish, but the song Tie a yellow ribbon 'round the old oak tree was used in the late 70's early 1980' as a symbol to release the hostages from Iran. Small towns all around had yellow ribbons tied around oak trees. That's a nice yellow ribbon he's wearing, and if he was tree he'd be an oak for sure.
