CIA Deputy Director Michael Ellis (pictured left) has removed the acting CIA general counsel and put himself into the role until President Trump’s nominee Joshua Simmons can be confirmed by the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence.

Deputy Director Ellis, like DNI Tulsi Gabbard is a solid MAGA ally. Without knowing the reason for his decision to remove the CIA general counsel, the New York Times is not happy.

Interesting article. My opinion is that Gabbard & Ellis are reigning in the rogue IC and getting rid of the rot.

I would also not rule out that the Senate is being pressured into confirming Joshua Simmons (whom I am guessing is someone that the opposition do not want to see in that position), OR, keep Ellis in the position until it is filled.... Win/Win... Of course that would mean that they fear Ellis, more than Simmons...
