This time period can be used by the DS to use a FF or something to bury it before it has a chance to take hold. However, if you have MANY people anticipating the release, when it drops, there will be a formidable host of patriots available to post it as quickly as possible, thus making a major impact at the start and not waiting for the momentum to develop.

Instagram only allows a URL in your bio. You can't post ANY URL in the body of the text. The only way around this is to add the URL text to a photo (via Photoshop, etc.) that you upload.
I have my business URL in my bio and add it to all my upload photos - no problems. But, try and add it to a block of text... no go!
I think the reasoning is so that people stay on Instagram and not leave the site to go to the URL.
