What's driving the push to demonetize or ban them is advertisers pulling their money as they've realized how much ad money is being wasted on bots viewers watching bot videos in one big circle jerk (which this and other videos have touched on.) Spotify caught someone doing that where he had a channel of AI-generated "music" being listened to 24/7 by a large number of bot accounts.
