Paul would know. He was actually named Saul and persecuted Christians, aka Jews who believed Jesus was the Messiah, before meeting Christ on the road to Damascus. Paul was an official witness at the stoning of Stephen. I say all of that to point out that Jesus came to the Jews first. Many became believers and Christians.
