Gas price taken this morning near Humble, Texas just North of Houston.

People in California should pay attention. Their state policies are only hurting the people of California.
The $2.339/gal is a good price, but not the lowest around. There are some higher and some lower. Highway gas stations are still between $2.49 to $2.69 in East Texas.
The lowest gas prices in the state are;
Buc-ees just West of Houston at $2.09/gallon
and Murphy USA, HEB and Quick Mart on West side of Houston, all tied for $2.19/gallon.
Meanwhile, I'm here suffering at $2.33 per gallon, while they are enjoying low gas prices. :>(
Much higher prices coming in 2026 due to closure of 2 refineries in CA, a drop of 20% of our fuel needs. They are estimating prices to increase 1.21 per gallon for californians.
Democrats lowered gas prices not Trump. No one can afford to drive, we are still in Biden's economy. Dems closed down government and ended SNAP benefits. Literally no one can afford to do anything. That is why gas prices are so low.
Going to and from work is the gas minimal spending level. If people are not shopping, getting deliveries from Amazon then the demand level of gas goes down.
All those federal workers no longer have to commute.
A lot of illegals that used to work in American have already made their commutes.
Less demand equals lower prices. Massive layoffs have been piling up all year. Biden's economy and AI firing are in play.
It took Biden a long time to tank what Trump had built. Trump is performing fire management. Clearing area's to control and rebuild after destruction. We are still in the destruction phase. This is why Trump has already won 2028.
Last week $2.99 on Tuesday, Wednesday went up to $3.19, today back down to $2.99. Such BS that it can bounce around by 20cents within a week!

Lowest gas prices in the nation are in Gulfport, Mississippi. Their AVERAGE price is $2.19/gallon all over town, with the lowest being $2.08.
If the trend keeps going, we may see gas prices below $1.99/gallon in some areas.
