Quote from end of article……. “The regulated cannabis industry can now get back to normalizing cannabis without all the bad actors and criminals taking advantage of the Farm Bill loophole,” May want to see how this shakes out?
I posted this in another thread. The cannabis industry has many grey players that don’t operate within the state rule set. I believe this was to address this.
The nuance here is that they took the most extreme knee-capping solution instead of regulating it in a more measured way. Rand, in his rebuttal, said he offered solutions and ideas for more regulation, but was scoffed at essentially. I don't disagree with you getting rid of bad actors and products, but surely there was a better and more measured way to handle it than what was snuck into the CR bill by McConnell. Hopefully there is legislation that is approved within the year before this all unravels.
The rider was included on the bill in a way that shut down debate and other normal procedure on the topic, and Mitch had the rules committee in his pocket.
I'm a bit confused: Is it not cbd, aka delta-8 cannabinol, and not thc, delta-9 tetrahydrocannabinol, that is the marijuana/hemp derivative that is efficacious for pain/hunger/sleep/stress management? if it is not covered by this ban, what is the problem here?
Not for nothing but hemp is not as good as cannabis for medication. They have to extract everything from the plant and add it back in the form of oils or wax. Ive tried it and it isnt the same and it didnt help any of my issues. Inflamation is one of them and i need mj with at least .3 mg of caryophyline a terpine thst helps trmemndously with inflamation.

do you want unregulated vapes from china coming in with who knows what in them? because this stops that
Texas already stopped that a week or two ago (for Texas, at least).
it really should be handled at the state level and it would be if it were up to me
i am glad you too are for regulation that is great news
Name checks out
:)

This is why Rand Paul opposed the vote in the senate. It shouldn’t have been included, it was supposed to be a “clean CR”.
