Easy tiger. Was I talking to you? The only thing I mentioned (that was for sale) was a bridge to Hawaii, which I said to the person I was talking to, "you probably wouldn't be interested in" a compliment and a joke, as they said they were not fooled by Lindsey Graham, so naturally they wouldn't be fooled into buying a bridge to Hawaii. I think that's called a joke, not sure, is there a class for that? Perhaps instead o of a civics class, you consider one on humility and Grace and then, a class on how to loosen up a bit, that would be for starters. True "state rights Trump Federal" as you said, but they don't Trump Trump, especially as President. PresidentTrump wields a lot of influence and power and so, there are ways around what supposedly can't be done, or as the saying goes"There's more than one way to skin a cat" that was my point,, civic class or not.
Wow, that's a lot of pushback for not a lot said, and not very accurate on several levels.
Your original post:
"President Trump gets people released and send home from other countries, but can't get Tina Peters released? Not buying it."
.
Please check your original comment to which I replied (quoted here), I think you are referencing the wrong one as your quote isn't there. Likewise none of the comments or OP said anything about LG. Are you sure you are thinking of the right post?
.
Regardless, Your comment literally displayed some ignorance (meaning you dont have knowledge about something, not an insult) on how things work from a legal standpoint, inferring Trump should be able to do something about her imprisonment, referencing his presidential authority on international levels as your example.
As I pointed out, his international diplomatic powers have NOTHING to do with this situation, which is a states rights issue.
It may work that way in the movies, people just going and doing what they think is right without consequence, but not in real life.
Yes, literally President Trump COULD do something about Tina Peters. Rangers, or Marines or Delta Force can do a lot. That wasn't the point. The point is what can be done LEGALLY?
If you have any ideas I'd love to hear them. So would President Trump.
Definitely a misunderstanding between different comments, nevertheless here we are. As far as any ideas I have (if) after you weighing every option, and coming to the conclusion it's not possible for President Trump to do anything for Tina, I can't see how it would be possible for me to think of something you didn't already think of. Especially considering I've not taken a civics class. Lol
