Its a bit of a story (100% true), so bear with me.

My family is building an in-law suite for my parents, they're old and we're caring for them to the end.

We wanna be done before new year and are really close, been doing a lot of the work ourselves and we have all the material, but i hurt my arm recently and can't finish the drywall in reasonable time.

My contractor recommended a known quality drywaller and he was over today. He said he could do it, but it'll take 2.5 weeks (!?!), as 50% of his crew quit. 🤔 I asked why was that, he said that ICE has been operating in the area and they took off.... 🤦‍♂️

Needless to say they wont be doing the drywall. 🙄

Just wanted to share my tale of woe, and show how this invasion continues to hurt us all, young and old, even in the rural areas.
