The reality now is the same as last time, there's no Republican consensus on a replacement that will pass. The replacement last time barely passed the House and was never voted on in the Senate, because it was Obamacare lite and somehow even more expensive.
Obamacare is bad, but to fix this you'll have to fix what caused it...insurance companies. They deny coverage to over half of people who try to buy something outside of their job. Forget about it if you have a pre existing condition. A public option sounds nice in theory, but in practice it's another way for insurance companies to extort subsidies so it fixes nothing.
