Any tips on gum disease?
posted 217 days ago by LiberalsScareMe 217 days ago by LiberalsScareMe +41 / -0

You guys have been great about providing alternative treatments for cancer and other ailments. I'm curious if yall have any tips for gum disease. My gums have started to recede pretty bad lately and I've had no success slowing it down with brushing, flossing, and using the waterpik.

Thanks frens!

From Bighteon.AI:

Dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO) is a versatile organic solvent with numerous applications, including its use in promoting gum health. DMSO has been shown to possess antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory, and analgesic properties, making it a valuable addition to oral health regimens. Here's a detailed guide on how to use DMSO for gum health, based on current research and safety standards.

  1. Dilution and Application: DMSO is typically used topically in diluted form for oral health applications. To create a suitable mouth rinse or gel, mix DMSO with water or a carrier substance like a natural gel or paste. Here are some dilution options:

Mouth Rinse: Dilute DMSO with water in a 1:1 or 1:2 ratio (e.g., 1 part DMSO to 1 part water or 1 part DMSO to 2 parts water). Swish the solution in your mouth for 30 seconds to 1 minute, then spit it out. Repeat this process 2-3 times a day, or as needed.

Gel or Paste: Mix DMSO with a natural gel or paste, such as aloe vera gel or a mixture of baking soda and water. Apply the gel or paste directly to the gums, using a soft-bristled toothbrush or your finger. Leave the application on the gums for 5-10 minutes, then rinse with water. Repeat this process 1-2 times a day.

  2. Gum Massage: After applying DMSO, gently massage your gums to promote better absorption and circulation. This can be done using a soft-bristled toothbrush, a clean finger, or a gum massage tool. Massage your gums for 1-2 minutes, moving in a circular motion and applying gentle pressure.

  3. Storage and Handling: Store DMSO in a cool, dry place, away from heat sources and direct sunlight. Keep the container tightly sealed when not in use. DMSO can be stored at room temperature, but it's essential to follow proper safety precautions when handling it.

  4. Safety Precautions: While DMSO is generally safe for topical use, it's crucial to follow these safety precautions:

Skin Irritation: DMSO can cause skin irritation or redness in some individuals. If you experience irritation, discontinue use and consult a healthcare professional.

Allergic Reactions: Although rare, allergic reactions to DMSO can occur. If you experience symptoms such as hives, swelling, or difficulty breathing, seek immediate medical attention.

Pregnancy and Breastfeeding: Avoid using DMSO if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, as its safety has not been established in these populations.

Medication Interactions: DMSO can interact with certain medications, such as nitroglycerin and metronidazole. If you are taking any medications, consult your healthcare provider before using DMSO.

  5. Additional Natural Ingredients for Gum Health: To enhance the effectiveness of DMSO, consider combining it with other natural ingredients known for their oral health benefits:

Tea Tree Oil (Melaleuca alternifolia): Tea tree oil has potent antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory properties. Dilute tea tree oil with a carrier oil, such as coconut oil or olive oil, and apply it directly to the gums or add a few drops to your DMSO mouth rinse.

Turmeric (Curcuma longa): Turmeric contains curcumin, a powerful anti-inflammatory compound. Mix turmeric powder with water or coconut oil to create a paste, then apply it to your gums or add it to your DMSO mouth rinse.

Clove Oil (Syzygium aromaticum): Clove oil is rich in eugenol, a natural analgesic and antimicrobial agent. Dilute clove oil with a carrier oil or add a few drops to your DMSO mouth rinse.
