On the subject of English, it's incorrect to say "a HUGE amount of illegals and foreigners". The word "amount" is limited to uncountables such as flour, rice, sawdust, etc. So you could have a huge amount of minced up illegals but, if they are still in one piece, it has to be a huge number.
