My mother saw ball lightning once and came came runing, screaming. Highly rare and she was very confused. It's a simply sphere of glowing plasma (white, blue) anywhere from 3 to 30 feet off the ground or higher. I'm not saying that's what you saw, but just be aware.

Oh not like that but I know what she saw..it was captured and uploaded ..those glowing plasma.. they’re cool and scary.
