The vitamin k is not necessary. A baby's system for blood clothing has fully kicked in by 8 days old. The main reason for giving vitamin k was the boys getting circumcised. If you wait the 8 days before circumcision, there is absolutely no problem. Just tell them no shots, and make sure your baby never leaves your sight. If you want the circumcision, just wait the 8 days, and it will he fine, no vitamin k needed. Just one if those scams.
