honoring our fathers and mothers means honoring their fathers and mothers and so on.

it also means caring for our extended families. That encompasses European Christians. It does not encompass people from the global south.

Sojourners are supposed to go home at some point. Foreigners can become part of the family but only if they intermarry. They wont do that unless there are so few other people from their nation here that they can't find spouses from the home country. That is the only way to actually assimilate foreigners
