The article references an Axios article which doesn’t say anything about Trump pushing this plan, in fact it says the opposite, that Israel is facing opposition because of Trump’s America First policies. Netanyahu has denied this claim, saying it is time for Israel to be more independent. Anonymous Israeli officials claiming that the US likes the idea of a 20 year up front agreement seems a bit far fetched.
