My Dad joined the merchant marines at 17 and the Navy at 18 after the attack on Pearl Harbor.. He was of Italian decent, his father immigrated from Italy after WW1, and his family proud Americans.
Every year he remembered Dec 7 as a day that changed everything.
Then in 2015 his wife of 65 years dies on Dec 7.
In 2022 my son, his first grandson, dies on Dec 7.
Dec 7 is a reminder to all of us how our lives can change so quickly.
Oh my I’m so sorry you have lost a son. I can’t imagine the pain any parent goes through after losing a child no matter how old they are when they pass.
