I remember that. And I remember thinking at the time that the question was a set up that could have been used against Flynn if he had been appointed to a position (in the coming 2024 Trump administration) requiring Senate confirmation.
Trump and Q repeatedly indicated Flynn was trustworthy even after he was forced out of the administration by the Russia hoax. Therefore, there was no strategic reason to continue to defend him unless he really is a white hat.

Why would the deep state go on the attack against one of their own?
Why would the deep state go to lengths to remove one of "their own guys" from a position of influence/power?
That is unreconcilable from a strategic point of view.
