So alot of people I know have the Tesla now and for long drives they have to go to one of those electric charging stations, sit in their cars for 30 mins and pay $20 or more to charge their EV. 30 mins of their time waiting for car to re-charge? No thanks. PLUS I googled Motor Vehicle registration fee for fully electronic vehicle in NJ --copied below: Regular registration fee is $50-$70/year
In New Jersey, Tesla (EV) registration involves standard fees plus a new, escalating Zero Emission Vehicle (ZEV) fee, which for
new vehicles registered in 2024 is a $1,000 upfront charge (four years of $250/year), increasing annually, while renewals are $250/year in 2024, rising to $290 by 2028. These EV fees supplement regular registration costs and fund the Transportation Trust Fund, with the total fee depending on your vehicle's initial registration year and if it's new or used
Crazy. I've resisted EVs, knowing the US mandate would be reversed.
Its just a shame how much effort went into a product that was too unmarketable for now. If storage tech can be refined a bit more, remove the need for exotic/rare materials, maybe then, though i still wouldnt want one. Hydrogen vehicles is the next stop after gas.

Bank on that.
