34 After 232 years, today the U.S. mint has made the last Penny. It costs nearly 4 cents to make one penny now.. We're inevitably going digital. If you go to the store and pay cash they will give you change by rounding off the numbers.. I've got a bunch of old Canadian Pennies. Many are still shiney and are over 50 years. I'll be happy to mail you some. Someone told me there is energy found in copper and nickel coins. It keeps us connected to the Spiritual World.
