(and I guess "ALERT" now) type posts of things that are MONTHS old, and we run around sharing them all over the place, it really does damage our credibility with normies. And we're supposed to be trying to redpill normies. And it's difficult to sway normies over to our side when they see stuff like this and think we're either very uninformed, because we don't know that this already happened months ago, that we're gullible, because we just believe it without checking, or that we're lying/misrepresenting things for some reason.
Once or twice, that's understandable. It happens. Things slip through the cracks.
But I see this type of crap here every day. Several times a day. Every day. That's not an innocent mistake. It's not something slipping through the cracks.
To me, it signals one of two things
People are incredibly lazy and gullible and will just share any old shit they come across without even thinking about checking to see if it's true or not.
People are doing this deliberately because they think we desperately need to show that we're "winning" somehow and there aren't enough legitimate wins so they need to manufacture some more by recycling old news and putting this stupid
" 🚨 BREAKING NEWS!/ALERT!" bullshit on it.
Honestly, it's gotten to the point that as soon as I see this 🚨 , I know it's fucking bullshit post. 🤷♀️
Am I against the EO? Of course not. But here's the thing. Anything that's funded by the government has to go through Congress first. So an EO trying to defund one thing to fund another still needs approval from Congress. So the EO didn't shut down migrant shelters. Also, I did some more digging, and nothing has come from the EO in helping homeless vets. They've spent all this time squabbling and making plans and having those plans rejected, squabbling some more, fighting over budgets, rinse and repeat.
Honestly, any time a President (doesn't matter which one, ALL of them) says they're sending people money or they're saying they're going to sign an EO that funds something or defunds something, you really need to be on high alert for bullshit. Because the President can not make those types of decisions himself. He doesn't have the power to do it. An EO doesn't magically give him the power to do such things himself. Congress has control of the checkbook for the most part. He needs their approval on it.
I really wish people would stop posting things that are MONTHS or YEARS old like they're something that just happened because...I guess nothing else is going on so they need to try to motivate people with recycled stuff? Or they're just bored as shit and can't find anything new to talk about?
Whatever the reason, it needs to stop. If you want to bring up old topics so we can discuss them, and see what progress has been made or have an accounting of all the great things President Trump has done, that's a great thing to do. I would 100% be on board for that.
