My father claimed his new 1950 Ford Sedan got 20 on the highway with a 3 on the tree and electric overdrive rear end. When he kept it well tuned up. And it was stamped out on Sherman tank stamps with nearly the same metal .

It was a nice driving car,except the front end was pretty lite, I learned to drive on it in the 80's.
