Context is everything. San Marcos never sent money directly to Israel. Their audit estimates that around $4.4MM of the money that goes to the federal government was being used in military aid to Israel. Context is everything.
There is no direct article that says that, you just have to read and understand the state law and the symbolic nature of this story out of San Marcos. I don’t agree with the state law that prohibits individual cities from voting something different than what state law says but context is everything. Here is the best news story I can find that gives more context.
A simple resolution halting their tax dollars from going to a foreign nation should have been the only thing included in the resolution. Whoever added the language to boycott Israel and get them out of Gaza went above and beyond their remit— likely to tank the policy on purpose. Find out who that is and remove them from both the town and state. Then try again. There nothing wrong with not wanting to have your tax dollars going to fund a foreign nation that does not even contribute to the local town.
Then Fuck texas law.
WTF?
All of Oklahoma is laughing at these fuktards.
Their VOTE didn't matter!
"The Matrix is a system, Neo..."
Oklahoma laughing at them is the one thing in the world that will motivate them the most. It's a local thing.
The mask has come off.
This 'law' is illegal and they know it.
Adding the ceasefire part was a poison pill to tank the resolution. Find the jew that drafted it and get them out of your town. The enemy is within.
Oklahoma has a Muslim loving problem, you may want to reconsider.
Not advocating for Israel at all, I view it all the same.
Yes we have some commie fuktards, but every county voted for Trump.
Twice.
We clean up our election rolls every single month.
It's not really that hard.
