Thank you for posting. I have a son that is 38 years old. He grew up with the video games. He is just now starting to pay attention to politics. Unfortunately, he is anti-Trump all the way. The points made help me understand how he got there.
Why wear yourself out trying when you have no future anyway?
For that matter, why look for God when his representatives tacitly accept or even cheer on the systems and ideologies that destroy all earthly reason for hope and meaning?
I met plenty of exceptions, and seek Christ myself. But I've found a trend in church leadership and public figures.to make themselves agreeable to the world and ignore the imperative to resist evil - even in the privacy of their minds.
For myself, this has been a serious stumbling block. I think that if church organisations wish to both reach and keep these hopeless people, they have some serious reflection to do themselves.
