I have seven truckers that work for me doing long haul delivery. Five are white guys and two are spanish, but both spanish guys were born in the US, one in Chicago, one in Miami. The Miami guy was held by immigration for 25 days during a traffic stop. He speaks perfect english, I actually don't think he speaks spanish very well, but he spent an entire month in some holding facility and the guys who arrested him left my truck unguarded and unlocked on the side of a highway in Kentucky where it got looted and I lost the whole shipment. They grilled him every day about his status and his wife brought his birth certificate and they claimed it was fake. I had to fly a guy out there to get the truck back once I found out where it was 15 days later. They didn't even let him have a call to tell me where the truck was and no one even looked it up or called the number on the side of the truck.
The guy from Chicago doesn't speak very good english, but he's a hard worker and was recommended by a friend of mine. He was arrested in Dallas getting off an airplane and spent three days in a holding cell before he was released. He told me no one even tried to verify his documents.
