Indeed. It's too bad that they were pressured by their record company after the Thunder Seven album (a concept album masterpiece) to write more "hits". They were almost hitting prog territory with that album.
Little Texas Shaker is an ode to their early tour dates in South Texas . A local legend of a DJ was a big part of their rise to notoriety. Joe Anthony aka "The Godfather of Rock" had a show where he oft would play demos sent by aspiring groups. There are a few playlists with much of the content that he introduced on youtube.
😆 I was telling my husband about this today. We had been out of town over weekend and when I tried to turn the washer on, it told me about the power outage. I’ll put up with it until better is found. I don’t want to hand wash just yet. I was happy to be reminded about darkness. But I hate these new technologies in appliances. Hubby is looking for an old oven and then old dryer and washer. Old is new again is more true than ever.
We are looking on facebook marketplace. Our stove was from the year 1999 or 2000. Hubby replaced (I think) the element in the oven and it worked fine. He wanted to upgrade so all appliances were black. We actually gave it away on Facebook, first mistake! At least it went to someone that could use it. I hate our new stove. It’s whirlpool, but not like old ones. I can’t keep the glass top clean. Doesn’t ever look clean, greasy streaks, doesn’t matter what I use. That’s the least of the issues. Takes forever to heat up the oven. The washer & dryer work fine. My only issue is low water levels. No way clothes are getting clean. Dryer is fine, I don’t like electronics. I’ve put the word on him. I don’t want anything new, not even a car. We have a two year old Toyota Highlander and I like it but miss my 1995 four runner. It was totaled from hail & we bought took less $ from insurance company and got salvaged title. Then I wrecked it. We still sold it for $2,000.00. We would have had to replace AC, it was on borrowed time putting Freon in every summer. I’m seeing videos that most brands of 2026 cars have gone overboard with controlling features. If we decide we want something else it’s going to be before 2024 for sure. I do like some of the new features but it’s not worth it if “they” are controlling what you can do.
Exactly moody and the cars/everything are made with these circuit boards that are doomed to fail and expensive to replace. Nothing is made to be repaired nowadays. We are a throw away society. Thank goodness your husband knows how to fix things!
We have a woodfire grill, cookstove and pizza oven. All batteries are fully charged, and my grams taught me to use a washtub and washboard. If it goes on too long, my in-laws are mormon, and have generators, a years worth of food, and plenty of ammo! ;)
Saw one video of a local guy who was streaming, the lights went off, women started screaming, then a few seconds later the air raid sirens came on.
Boom.
"When the lights go down We're ready to play the blues When the lights go down It's time to light, time to light, time to light the fuse"
Quite the Triumph-ic post there, fren...
So many positive & insightful lyrics to be found in their library.

That is the way of "commercial" music. Big fan of "It's Just A Game"

Now, please, please, pretty please, do Berlin.
For those who didn't know what the far left extremists are capable of, SW Berlin, 45,000 households and 2,000 companies without power.

Hey moody! I totally agree with you. I have my Grandmother's Maytag Washer & Dryer from the 80's and I'm never getting rid of them!
Oh wow that’s awesome. We always had kenmore, fil worked for sears & got discounts. Guess we should have had them repaired.
My MawMaw retired from Sears! You can probably find some used ones from that era...
