Talk is cheap. I don't see any actions being taken though. Offer of free rooms, or extra discounts, or...something, to apologize for the incident. They could go big too, and yank the franchise from the owners- that would really impress me.

I BELIEVE this works as a franchise. If Hilton means what the statement says, pull the franchise.
It's their decision who they have a contract with.
