I am glad to hear this. For too long families, or single owners have been priced out of the market, yet houses keep selling. We are rural, everyone has a minimum of 1 acre... and there are countless air b & b's all around. The single family owners to corporations and people who own multiple homes just to rent them out is about 50/50 right now. Every time a house goes up for sale, it ends up as a rental.
Renters don't care about the animals, don't care if their trash is in a bear proof trash can, don't care if they tear up the roads on their ATV/dirt bike/jeep they bring with them. Don't watch for kids, and go 65 on our main road, where the speed limit is 30. No cops though.. since we are rural and not a city. So no radar since we have county sheriff. The bar at the bottom of the 'hood loves it though, because our roads have the reputation of being able to drive drunk on them and not get pulled over.
Anyhow, I digress. Renters don't care. Real home owners do. Us home owners respect the wild life, other people's pets and livestock, the roads, the speed limits... we do have some locals that take advantage of the drinking and driving though. Can't stop that I suppose.
