I’ve been thinking about this for a while. We’re supposed to be a source of information and education for normies. And I know at this point it is probably more a matter of doing so once the ball really drops but I do still try to educate people in small ways along the way but I’ve decided I just can’t with these people anymore.

Yesterday an acquaintance on Facebook had a post about Trump‘s invasion of Venezuela and how we were stealing all the oil and that kind of stuff. Trying to be simple but informative. I made a few very quick and succinct points and wrapped up by saying if your new sources are telling you this is a bad thing, you need to find new news sources. He responded by clipping text about the “oil theft” from the same lefty new source that he included the first time. 🤦‍♂️

And then, watching all the lefties lose their head about Minneapolis made me realize there is no way to even begin to try to have a conversation because they have so many biases, but then I saw this. Which is a perfect summation of where we’re at with the lefties’s mind.

(if you don’t want to watch Facebook, it’s a guy explaining how conservatives heard about the shooting, thought about their assumptions they immediately made about the shooting, and then went to watch video and different angles and accounts of what happened to see what the true story is. Then, when the lefty hears the same news, they have their preconceived notions, and they then actively work to protect those, and avoid and ignore anything that contradicts their preconceived notions.)

Which brings me around to throw my hands up and saying you can’t try to educate somebody who willfully wants to be ignorant and misinformed. I would say it’s like arguing with a brick wall, but at least a brick wall is consistent. It’s like trying to argue with a tornado. And while I’ll be there for people who are confused later and ask questions I’m done trying to educate people because they just don’t want to be educated.

On a different note, the movie is really great! I keep thinking is this the event that leads to the riots that leads to the National Guard being deployed? I think we’re so close!
