If I had a refund on the interest that's been charged on my credit cards over the years, I'd be rich! Their latest scam is, if I send in a pay off check, they claim they didn't receive a payment and charge me interest and a late pay. It never happens if I pay a minimum amount. I now pay directly at the store that issued me the card.
IMO - reducing interest rates keeps investments in the economy. A 33% return would be hard to turn down.
