Tennessee is open for business and our taxes are quite low, and our state government is run by sane people.
Just need to start thinking about putting a wall around Nashville....

There is no income tax, but the sales tax is quite high at 10%. The property taxes are determined by the Counties and the Cities, where in CA there is a fixed State property tax. My property taxes in Knoxville are as much as they were in CA, because the City charges a property tax and the County charges a property tax.
Why live in the city of Knoxville, when you could live out in Knox County? ...or Blount County? ...or Loudon County?
I am looking to move.
