Something you absolutely must understand to have a proper grasp on coming days/weeks

Do you know what happens in a Skinner box experiment when you train a rat to press a button to get a reward, then suddenly turn off the button?

The rat goes BERZERK trying to hammer the button in a thousand different ways. It displays agitation, even rage. It may even do things to break the button

this is what happens in ALL species when a learned behavior stops paying off

See the same thing when a person puts a $ in a soda machine and it fails to spit out the sugar water. They hammer the button, they slap/push/tilt the machine

EVENTUALLY the habituate to the new normal and stop, but if you start giving them rewards again after stopping the behavior will be EXTRA reinforced (see chapter on random rewards being more effective than constant for more).

AND THIS IS WHY YOU SEE LIBERAL LESBIAN LOONS LOSING IT IN MINNEAPOLIS. Their reward system was totally turned off.
