I seem to recall that the Ingersoll Lockwood site has had these countdown clocks before, but they never came to anything... they would get to 00000 and nothing happened.

Yes, it's been a year or so since the last one. By the way, I cannot find the current countdown clock on the IL website, is it hidden somewhere? There are a lot of hidden links on that website and to find them you have to highlight the white spaces or do a CTL-A to find them... but I just can't find the curren clock.
