In 2024, a quantum state of light was successfully teleported through more than 30 kilometers (around 18 miles) of fiber optic cable amid a torrent of internet traffic – a feat of engineering once considered impossible.

Does this mean that instantaneous communication between distant points is possible?

This is what I don't understand... quantum entanglement provides instant communication between two points, alleged to be an infinite distance, without the need of a signal carrier.

So I don't get why we're talking about this feat being carrier over a fibre cable.
