What if Iran is Israel? Cabal is probably more like it including Israel/UK/USA/Russia/what have you but I expect Israel has a heavy hand in the regime. Based on what? The transformation from relatively modern society back in the day to the repressive Muslim extremist mad dog terrorist bogeyman. If there wasn't an enemy like Iran they would have to invent one to keep US military support.
