up until a few years ago, the original Whataburger was Texas best, according to lotta Native Texans, myself included...THEN, the chain was sold (of course) to a national group, and it went downhill fast...we still call it "what-a-sellout"!!! ...side note, their spicy ketchup and mustard are what made them different, imo, and can be purchased in the condiment aisle of HEB grocery stores, maybe others as well.
