Sea salt has very little iodine, something most people are already deficient in, so I supplement with SSKI or iodine painting.
I also like to add potassium chloride to my salt grinder mix, about 25%. My mix these days it 25% sea salt, 25% Himalayan, 25% "sacred salt", 25% "no salt" aka potassium chloride.

Glad to help! Cool info about the tanning too, never heard that before. Iodine painting is an easy way to get it into kids as well.
