I lived in Spain for three years. I was the only flight engineer on the crew of an EP3 Electronic Patrol Surveillance & Reconnaissance aircraft flying missions in that area. I was home based in Rota, Spain and frequently deployed for a couple of months at a time to Athens, Greece where we flew missions over that area. Way back then we already had advanced technology such as Big Look Radar. The words speak for themselves. Our motto was In God we trust. All others we monitor.
