There is no other biblical ruler of the world until Christ reigns.
This is directly contradicted by Revelation 12:5... "And she gave birth to a male child who would rule the nations with a rod of iron."
Gave birth = the child is flesh and blood.
The child is left unnamed.
The name Jesus appears nowhere in the verse.
This is not directed against you, but this is exactly the type of closed minded, automatic-thinking I'm talking about.
I've seen people try to wiggle out of this by saying "well this is just an allegory" etc. etc.
For those people, the Bible only speaks in allegories when it's convenient.
I don't care if people agree or disagree, but the plethora of things used to discredit this idea are as limitless as they are baseless.
As time marches onward it will only become more and more clear.
Thank you for commenting. The reason I made the OP is to get people to consider things that their mind immediately rejects as a knee-jerk reaction
I am not offended to be challenged to question my thinking, but I would say using a single verse to establish doctrine is a dangerous game. The name is given for the ruler with a rod of iron. Given context with other verses, this man's name is Jesus.
Revelation 19:13-15 KJV
And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God. [14] And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean. [15] And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.
There is only one ruler that will rule with "a rod of iron" according to scripture. Rev. 12 is about a woman ---Israel---will give birth to a "son" ---- Jesus---. The Bible interprets itself. The woman with a crown of 12 stars and the sun and moon at her feet is quoting the dream Joseph had and was telling his brothers and his father about it. His father---Jacob---was renamed Israel bu God. The 12 stars were his brothers, the moon ans sun were his father and mother. Israel/Judah gave birth to Jesus, the Savior of the world and soon coming King. (Gen. 37)
