Foreigners yes. Lots of ag labor evading visas/permit enforcement. and border jumpers in general. Its also a place where homeless travel to, for softer drug policy and free housing. We are actually seeing an exodus similar to CA, businesses and middle class people leaving. Its finding its way east toward me now too. The city council is all mexican in my town, they promote and celebrate the down town area looking like tijuana. Identical. Run down shops, rough looking hispanic people everywhere. It really pisses me off.
Aw man, I hate to hear that. We’ve had the same problems in Texas for years. Lately though, things are looking better in my little town. I think the majority of illegals that were living here knew Trump wasn’t messing around this time and packed their shit and ran to the border. Lot less traffic than when Biden was in office. Hopefully ICE makes it to your neck of the woods.
I have yet to visit TX, and hope to someday. Yep i think the rhetoric alone saw a considerable amount of self-deporting. Peasant cultures are pretty low IQ, and heavy in group-think. Easy to spook. I hope ICE starts handling everyone else.
