Former New Mexico Governor and U.S. Ambassador Bill Richardson died in his sleep at age 75 on September 1, 2023. According to a representative from the Richardson Center for Global Engagement, his death was unexpected and occurred at his summer home in Massachusetts without a prior known illness.
