I had several business trips to Little Rock in the early-mid 90's. People I met there were genuinely afraid of the Clintons. It was kind of sad.
I watched one of Bill's very early campaign speeches and knew right off he was lying sack of dog turds. But I had recently moved back to the states from a socialist country (missed most of the Bush presidency) and was hyper-sensitive to things at the time. And what was up with Bush talking about the New World Order at the time? It just felt like Clinton was being setup to win.
