My guess is they gave the British share of their oil production. The Brits have had a controlling interest in their production since day one of their oil production. The Brits use this money to not only enrich their monarchs but to pay the Supreme leader to keep the status quo. Great deal for the head mullah but not so much for the people. This new "gift" (if I am correct) will allow the US to redirect those funds to the people of Iran while being given a handsome percentage for doing so. Also we have just witnessed Trump over rule Lloyd's of London who tried to shut down the strait by denying coverage for tankers. Notice they backed right off that stance when Trump stated we would do the insuring. Lloyd's immediately changed and began offering coverage at a premium. Again control and profit for the Crown All this to say, Iran (leaadership) was the pawn of the Crown forever, and that bond is now being broken. Lastly, Trump just stated a week or so ago, that Great Britain used to be our best ally, but are not even an ally any more. Just one Texas country boy's opinion
