Maybe it was a lever Putin was using to influence Carlson.
Putin was warning all of us. If he wanted to leverage him, he didnt have to say anything openly. That one comment blew him in the open and too many people did search on him and his dad and found out he was a multi generation Intel guy.
For me, it also made me suspect that Carlson's reason for interviewing Putin was not very benign. There is deep state in Russia, and he might have been brought there by one of those.
Now he is pushing the idea that we should have a New World Order with Russia, China and Iran. This is clearly the same kind of attitude as those Sachs, Scott Ritter etc. These people are not paid to push this narrative, they truly sincerely believe CCP will take over the world and they believe they will have big plush positions when it happens/
