Yeah but its not just one person's private info. Everyone involved should be onboard for this to be valid. And it should be done officially, by all the folks stating "This is the full information and we dont want it to be distorted, we just want it to be in public domain".

If it’s pertinent to a potential criminal act and you have no faith in “justice”, I believe it is acceptable behaviour.
The chat was pretty innocuous in any case, other than the fear of being murdered.
