They are actually running a dem woman AS a Republican! I forget which state.
Somehow, we need to have a candidate for every single office, from dog catcher and school board and coroner on up. Give people a choice! No uncontested seats ever, no matter how blue the city or district seems to be.
Easy for me to say, right? I am not up for running and lots of us have other purposes in our lives.
So who will do it? A great challenge for young people who have lots of idealism and energy? I remember that feeling, as a Young Republican and member of the Young Americans for Freedom in high school and college.
The establishment Republican Party has for too long been willing to play single fiddle to the steel guitar, and concede seats left and right to the dems.
I believe Union County, North Carolina, had a Muslim woman running as the only Republican on a local ticket. She was definitely a Democrat.

I think Union County is pretty blue so she doesn't (didn't) have much of a chance anyway.
