19 Does the U.S. have any electronic citizens’ initiative system where proposals must be handled by the government after enough signatures, like in Finland? Why don’t Americans start one to leave NATO? I’m sure it would reach the required signatures in record time. In the states with initiative petition, it goes on a state wide ballot, the reps, senators, governor can not prevent it from going to a vote of the people. When/if it passes, whatever is written becomes law.
