The children are not yours though, while in school, YOU are hired to teach them how to read write and do arithmetic or, what ever your specific class curriculum is aka: Art Science, athletics and so on. As a hired, responsible adult in our kid's school, you as well are responsible for their safety. When the children go home for the day, you are to have NOTHING to do with them, they do NOT need to know your personal life either. The children are just passing through your life one class/year at a time, they are not your children and you will be lucky if they even remember you in 10years time.
